Opening eggs, shopping in Topshop and a bit of Sia #littleloves

Welcome to this weeks Little Loves post!

As I mentioned on here yesterday, I’ve felt pretty rubbish this week and didn’t think I’d have much to share. How wrong I was! It’s amazing how once you start focusing on the positive, how much good stuff you start to notice.

Thank you to all the lovely bloggers who’ve joined in so far this year, I love reading all the posts and look forward to catching up with this week’s ones.

I’ve finally sat down and caught up with some blogs this week, here are just a few of my favourite posts this week,

Suzanne (3 Children and It) – 12 top tips for Raising Girls

Jude (Make me an Earth Mother) – F*ck it February

Katie (Mummy Daddy and Me) – The Countdown

I popped into WH Smiths for some new pens this week and while I was there two books jumped into my hands, because apparently I don’t have enough books already! Bryony Gordon, The Wrong Knickers and Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn.

I also picked up some girls magazines for research purposes. I know that sounds strange but I’m preparing pitches to send out to magazines to promote my store so I wanted to see the kind of thing they already feature and advertise. Of course my eldest was more than happy with getting to have them when I’d finished!

You all know how OBSESSED my youngest is with ‘opening eggs’ videos on Youtube by now, well when we spotten not only Frozen eggs but the new Tinkerbell Kinder Surprise Eggs my girls just couldn’t resist getting me to film them again. Be warned to anyone under the age of 7 this video is all kinds of boring… sorry girls! haha

I just couldn’t resist treating myself to this Topshop jacket-cardigan-thingamy this week. It is so comfy and cosy! Of course, if my husband’s reading this, it’s not new at all, I’ve had it for ages.. ahem. You can see in online here.

I ordered a Little White Company robe for Noo as a Christmas present but unfortunately it never arrived. Funnily enough, however, it turned up this week! She’s over the moon with it as to her it’s perfect for her ‘spa’.

I’m a little bit obsessed with this song by Sia at the moment..

I’ve been such a fan of hers ever since I heard her voice on this Zero 7 track a good few years ago..

And now just to completely overload you with music, I spotted this one last night and as a massive fan of these too (and Nashville) I couldn’t help but share it.

Apart from the usual meals there is nothing exciting to report here at all! I plan on making Davina’s no sugar flapjacks over the weekend though, so I’ll have that ready for next week’s little loves.

My girls had a after school impromptu craft session the other night though, which of course had me cowering in the kitchen trying not to worry about the mess they were simultaneously creating!

and lastly..

It’s high time I brought back my inspirational quotes for this bit, so here’s this weeks

 Have a lovely weekend!

Love the post you shared. I almost put Katie’s down as mine too! Great minds think alike such a great post made me cry. Loving your craft night session I would definitely have been hiding from the mess but also can’t wait till MM is a little older so we can do this all together. At the moment she still would eat everything. Lovely music. I can’t wait till Nashville is back on! Thanks for hosting. (squeal… see you in a few hours for our coffee catch) hurray! #litteloves

Great little loves Morgana, I’ve had a pretty crap week too so it has helped focusing on the good parts of our week. I don’t think I can bring myself to read Mummy Daddy Me’s post yet, I’ve been an emotional wreck all week so it may push me over the edge!

I am so thankful for this link because like you say it makes you focus on the positives and we really need this in the dark, cold, winter months.

I love your choice of books. I love Gone Girl and would like to read The Wrong Knickers. You will have to let us know what you think of it.

Good luck with the magazine pitches for your company-exciting stuff 🙂

    Have a fab week.

Sia… hmmm.. I watched the video on the music channel the other day, and I wasn’t keen on the video. The Nashville girls… very cool! Good luck with your pitches!
