New shoes, 90s music and vegan junk food #LittleLoves

We’ve enjoyed (and survived!) the first week of the school holidays! I’ve loved spending some quality time with the girls and taking a bit of a break from working, but I definitely need to make time for a bit more work next week as it’s mounting up. Check out my post on the school holiday juggle for some great tips on this, ones that I need to try myself!

Here we go then, are you ready for some positivity? Grab a cuppa and enjoy my Little Loves, don’t forget you can read lots of other bloggers’ Little Loves by clicking on the linky at the end.

  read

Um.. very little! I’m still enjoying Jen Hatmaker’s Interrupted but only managing to get through a few pages every now and again. It’s one of those books that really challenges you and has the potential to be life changing, so I’m trying to read it slowly and take it in rather than whizz through it like a story.

watched

Last Friday the girls had their last day of school and as they finished early we raced down to the cinema and watched the much anticipated, Despicable Me 3. It was such a treat full of sweets and popcorn, and a great to celebrate the end of term together.

I’ve done a whole lot of watching my girls cycle round the cul de sac. I think we need to buy a bench to permanently live at the front of the house so I’m not hauling a chair in and out or rooting around for the camping chairs in the garage. It’s been a lovely way to get to know some of the neighbours in the evenings while we’re sat out watching the children.

MAde

The strawberry flan! I made another one, just because they are so easy and super yummy. I made sure I got at least one photo this time.

While we were in Liverpool at the weekend we ‘made’ a trip to a vegetarian and vegan restaurant mentioned recently by Hayley, Down The Hatch. It’s all about junk food for vegans so we were all over it. N and I are never able to get puddings when we’re out at restaurants as they always have dairy or eggs in, so we jumped at the chance to get chocolate fudge cake and ice cream!

On Friday the mister and I went to a formal dinner that our church put on as a thank you to those that volunteer. It was such a fun night and a great chance to get to know some more people. We’ve only been there since January and it’s such a big church there’s still so many people we’re yet to meet. Of course, I failed (again!) to get a decent photo of my dress, though you might have spied my outfit on Instagram Stories. I wore my new shoes from Next that arrived just in time! I love them.

heard

We went to Liverpool and visited the British Music Experience on Saturday, it was so much fun. I enjoyed taking a trip down memory lane and listening to the music of my childhood and teen years. Sharing songs, and showing the girls memorabilia from different bands and artists was so special.

and lastly

I’ve decided that with it being the school holidays and massively juggling everything I’ll be taking a little break from Little Loves for the next few weeks. The next Little Loves link up will be in a months time on August 25th, don’t worry it will be back on weekly from then onwards.

If you’re on Instagram and want to join in with the Little Loves community on there, it’s so easy just use the hashtag #littleloves on any photo that shows something little that you love – so that can be pretty much anything! I’ll share my favourites on Stories each Friday.

Aww what a lovely way to celebrate the end of term! I love the sound of Down the Hatch – I’m a vegetarian and so rarely manage to find vegetarian restaurants 🙂 #LittleLoves

It sounds like you’ve had a super busy, but enjoyable week. Love the picture of your girls riding around your neighbourhood, it looks idyllic. Those shoes are gorgeous – not sure I could walk in them for long though! Hope you manage to get some work done – it’s so tough isn’t it? I have so much work to do to prepare for September but am struggling to find/make the time. Enjoy the week ahead xx

We went to see Despicable Me 3 this week! We also went to see Cars 3 the day after and weirdly I actually enjoyed that one more :-/ That strawberry flan looks incredible! Love the shoes too – I’d never be able to walk in them but I can dream. Hope you enjoy your summer and make loads of awesome new memories x

I want to see Despicable Me 3! I think the Minions are having a bit of a revival in our house at the moment and my two-year-old keeps trying to put the DVD on. I don’t think he’d sit through the film in the cinema though. We did the Peppa Pig Experience a few months ago and he just wanted to run around the whole time. He’s a fidget arse and an explorer, so I think we’ll be waiting for the DVD release.

OMG what am I going to do with myself when #littleloves takes a break over the summer – it’s the only blog post I guarantee I’ll write each week. I’ll actually have to use my imagination now lol! LOVE those shoes, they’re gorgeous. I always forget Next for shoes. Sounds like you’ve had a lovely first week of the holidays with the girls. Enjoy the rest of them x

I am desperate to join in with Littleloves but the holidays make blogging crazy don’t they.

You looked amazing in your dress and shoes. I even made Ash check out your pic saying look how gorgeous.

We are off to see Despicable Me 3 this week xx

It sounds like you’ve had a brilliant first week of the holidays Morgana 🙂 We’re hoping to see Despicable Me 3 before too long – we all loved the other two films and it’ll be perfect for a rainy day. I’ve not heard of the music experience – I’ve been wanting to visit Liverpool for ages so I’ll definitely check that out of we make it up there. And that restaurant sounds amazing (my husband’s idea of hell though!). Hope you have a lovely weekend x

Gorgeous shoes. We are planning a trip to see despicable me 3 at some point over the summer – these films have been a favourite of LBs so i thought as his first trip to the iceman it would be a fab choice. He also wants to see Cars 3. Shame you won’t be doing the weekly link up though completely understand why not-trying to fit it all in over the summer is near impossible-your post definitely had some good ideas. Enjoy! x

Ooh Liverpool looks great I really must explore our country more with a few weekends away. Living at the very south of the country everything is quite far away! On our last trip to Liverpool it had such a vibe and I did promise to return. Enjoy your break and see you when #littleloces returns

Such a gorgeous post to round up before your little break. I love the flan, have you put up a recipe? Those shoes are so cute. I have a flat pair but with a blue back, are they from Next? It made me chuckle that you need a bench outside, great idea though. I hope you enjoy taking in the summer Morgana and thank you for hosting x x
