Maybe we’re not such Bad Mums after all..

Maybe we’re not such Bad Mums after all..

Last year a group of us decided to form the Bad Mums Club, a monthly blogging link up for all your bad mummy confessions. I guess it was a bit of an antidote to all those picture perfect aspirational blog posts that although lovely.. they don’t always give the full picture. This was a link up for those us with yogurt in our hair, or baby sick down our bag, tantruming children and a washing pile that has taken on a life of it’s own!

I really loved reading all the posts that linked up, it felt good to know we weren’t alone and to find out that most of us are just guessing at this whole parenting thing and we all can feel overwhelmed with the awful ‘mummy guilt’ sometimes where no matter what we do or what decisions we make it never really seems like the right one.

Unfortunately we won’t be carrying on the Bad Mums Club into 2015, my fellow hosts and I have all taken on new projects and were finding it hard to give the time needed to keep up the linky. If I’m honest we all admitted that after 6 months of confessions we were running out of things to say in a funny and creative way, so hey maybe we’re not quite as awful as we thought!

I’ve asked Katie, Aimee and Alison to share their favourite posts from Bad Mums Club, firstly one of their own and then someone else’s. We all agreed that is was so hard to choose as they were all so funny!

Loved reading this compilation of favourites – I had missed some first time around, before I began blogging. I can imagine how much work goes into organising and hosting a linky, and though I will definitely always qualify for Bad Mum Status, it isn’t always easy to define it hilariously and succinctly! So I can understand why you have all decided to call it a day – for now – and look forward to seeing your future work, bad, good or medium mum related!
PS – Most chuffed to be mentioned amongst some fab company 🙂
