Each year I put together a cheeky wishlist for my birthday and now September is upon us, this year is no different. I love pulling together my favourite pieces from various stores and boutiques. I haven’t been asked to feature any of these or even paid to do so, they are just a few bits and pieces that have recently caught my eye. Obviously I don’t expect to get this stuff for my birthday but it’s fun to dream and even have some things to work towards. Take a look at my choices and let me know what you think.
30 something birthday gift guide
I have to thank Katie (MummyDaddyMe) for introducing me to this store after sharing some prints on her Instagram Stories. I’ve got my eye on a couple of brightly coloured unicorn prints for my youngest girl’s bedroom and I just couldn’t resist adding this succulent print to my virtual shopping basket. Available via notonthehighstreet, this print retails at £12.
I’ve shared about my new love for Joanie Clothing before and I just loved this sweatshirt when it popped up in my inbox the other day. You know me I’m a sucker for printed slogans and combine that with my love of book and they are onto a winner in my eyes. This sweater retails at £30 and is available in their online store.
I love this store and already have a few of their badges and pins, you can find Sugar and Sloth on Instagram here, they are a really fun account too follow. This little treat of a badge is only £2 in their Etsy store and a definitely suggest you have a virtual rummage around as there are lots of little gems there.
Mixed Vegan Treat box – A Kind Mama
With my eldest and I both being dairy intolerant and N being egg intolerant too it’s safe to say that we both miss cakes and treats. I’ve tried a few vegan baking recipes but I’d love to buy some ‘homemade’ treats to safe myself the effort! These boxes of treats by Manchester based A Kind Mama are the stuff of dreams for us! You can buy them directly from A Kind Mama or follow the above link to their store with Yumbles. These mixed boxes start from £13.50.
Tara Mohr is on this week’s Hashtag Authentic podcast by Sarah Tasker and as ever I found it really inspiring. So much so that I just had to add Tara’s book to my Amazon wishlist.
I’ve already got one of these tote bags and have used it so much since it first popped through my letterbox over a year ago. Unfortunately it’s faded and stained from blackberry picking.. oops, so I’m in need of a crisp new replacement. These totes are £12 each. I’ve featured this mama maker in my Start Up Stories, so if you’re interested in finding out more about Carrie Anne and her business then head over and have a read here.
I love a good pin badge and I’m building up a nice little collection now. I think this one would fit in very nicely 😉 This Game of Thrones inspired pin is just £6 in Nutmeg and Arlo’s Etsy store.
I mentioned on Instagram the other day my ever growing (no pun intended!) of house plants. This started with a few succulents and cacti and now I’m venturing into the world of big leafy green plants. I think this seagrass basket by Cox and Cox would be perfect for my bargain Fiddle Leaf Fig from Lidl. Available to pre-order now these baskets are £30. If that’s a little expensive for your taste there are similar, though not as pretty, seagrass baskets in IKEA.
I treated myself to a pair of Slim Jyms from The Bright Company three years ago and apart from a tiny hole in one of the legs they are still going strong and hands down the comfiest pair of jamas I’ve ever had. I think I’m in need of a nice new pair though and this print will be a nice update. Available in various boutiques or direct from The Bright Company website with prices from £48 (they go from a UK size 8/10 to 18). What I love about The Bright Company is the quality of all their products, which are organic, and you know that they have been ethically made within the EU.
Like I’ve already mentioned I’m getting a little green fingered (my mum would be proud!) but I’ll admit I don’t really know what I doing or how to look after each plant specifically. I think this brand new book by the people behind the Urban Jungle Blog would come in very useful. And look how pretty it is! It’s available to buy via Amazon in hardback form for £17.99.
