What a whirlwind of a week! From a busy weekend at a swim meet in Harrogate to hitting the ground running on Monday and not stopping. Apologies to the lovely bloggers that linked up their own Little Loves last week, I’ve not got round and commented on all your posts this week. I will do better this coming week and make it a priority!
Right, lets get onto the wonderful little things from this week, grab a cuppa (or a glass, depending on the time of day..!) and have a read.
I took my book with me to the swim meet but ended up chatting to other parents the whole time. Trying to concentrate on reading when it’s so hot and noisey is near on impossible so I put my book down and enjoyed the chance to get to know some new people. I managed a few snatched moments in the sun in between drop offs and cooking dinner yesterday evening, but wish I could have stayed out and enjoyed it more.
Like I said in my intro I’ve not even managed to read the Little Loves posts from last week, let alone any others. I’ve not even written a blog post of my own!
As I mentioned earlier, my weekend was spent in a hot and sweaty leisure centre watching my eldest daughter compete in a regional swimming gala. It was fantastic to see how much she’s improving and that she managed to beat are her Personal Best times. All the hard work is definitely paying off.
Television and film wise there’s been very little I’ve actually watched apart from my usual weekly watches like Greys Anatomy and Jane the Virgin and other such highbrow shows..! I did catch the Walking Dead season finale which did not disappoint, a very good, and intriguing end to the season. I’ll say no more in case you want to watch it but haven’t had the time this week.
I’m currently making a lot of changes work wise, in fact you might have even noticed that there’s been a few changes on here blog content wise. I’ve always been passionate about working with people to reach their goals and build their confidence, from working as a youth worker, training in social work and being a parenting worker and now I’d like to use this platform partly for that too. So many entrepreneurial women suffer from ‘imposter syndrome’ or are struggling to grow their businesses or are generally feeling overwhelmed. I recently set up a local networking group with that kind of thing in mind. I was forever getting invited to events in London that I had to turn down and feeling jealous of not being in a city that had creative female networking events. So I decided to make the move myself and Coffee Work Sleep Creatives was born! We had our first informal meet up this week and I loved every second. I’m really excited about the future of this group and have so many ideas for it.
So pleased that Robyn, managed to snap a few pics in between chatting.
Sunglasses and summery clothes!
With their fantastic new album The Wombats has been my band of choice this week, we listened to it on our road trip to Harrogate and I’ve had it blaring in my car ever since.
Another busy weekend ahead, I meant what I said when I told you we don’t have a free one until July! It’s full of lovely things though, I’ve got an Instagram workshop in Manchester tomorrow and then the gorgeous Jenny’s babyshower on Sunday.
Have a fantastic weekend!
