This has to have been the fastest week ever. I’ve found it so hard to write this post as I can hardly think what I’ve done each day! I do remember last Saturday though, we had a great time exploring in Altrincham, especially Altrincham Market. It was a foodie’s paradise. We feasted on sourdough pizza and Oreo vegan brownies, and came home with a fresh sourdough loaf and more dairy free and egg free treats. We will definitely be going again!
This week has seen the beginning of the Easter holidays for my girls and oh boy, were they ready for them. From 1.15 on Tuesday they’ve been loving the down time and freedom.
So, here we go lets get onto those wonderful little things from this week, grab a cuppa (or a glass, depending on the time of day..!) and have a read.
The Mermaid and Mrs Hancock
Still struggling to find the time to get into this book to be honest. The bits I’ve read I’ve enjoyed but to be honest, I keep forgetting to pick it up.
Blogs and articles
With it being the start of the holidays I’ve been really busy and not had much time for blog reading, I did love this one though!
I love a little nostalgia, especially when it’s fashion and trend focused. This post by Katy, definitely got me remembering the clothes and accessories that I wore in the 90s. Platform trainers, bubble backpacks and so much more!
A Wrinkle In Time
I read A Wrinkle In Time when I was a child and adored it, the fantasy created by Madeliene L’Engle was spellbinding. When I found out it was being made into a film I was beyond excited, especially when they announced who they had on board with it. The girls had a half day on Tuesday and we continued out little tradition of a a cinema trip after I picked them up. I’m not going to say I didn’t like the film but I was a little disappointed with it. While parts were incredible overall it just didn’t quite come together. It has made me want to re-read the book though!
The Santa Clarita Diet
The Santa Clarita Diet is back on Netflix with a second season. It’s just as silly as the first one, and so enjoyable! The perfect easy watch after a busy day.
My littlest girl has expressed an interest in doing more baking so I let her loose (while I kept a watchful eye) and she made these beauties!
I have a feeling she’ll be doing a lot more baking from now on!
With the lovely sunshine we had at the start of the week I cracked out these bad boys.
I only wish the sunshine and warmer weather had decided to stick around a little longer.
Everything Everything have been a favourite of mine for ages now and they don’t disappoint with their latest release
LOVED having this as my working soundtrack this week.
We’re not going away this Easter but we are taking the long weekend off work and plan to have lots of quality family time. Enjoy your Easter Bank Holiday weekend in whichever way you choose to celebrate and spend it.
Have a fantastic Easter weekend!
