This week has been all about getting back into routine with school and work. As much as we loved the summer I do enjoy September, it’s like a fresh start, for me more so than January is. We’ve been finding our feet over the last few days and I’m hoping to be more organised and ‘on it’ next week onwards.
Here we go then, are you ready for some positivity? Grab a cuppa and enjoy my Little Loves, don’t forget you can read lots of other bloggers’ Little Loves by clicking on the linky at the end.
I’m only a few chapters in and I already feel like this book is going to be a huge game changer for me.
I discovered this blog post when I joined in with the Blogtacular twitter chat one night this week. I love it when you find new people of twitter, and then go and find their other social media channels. With a love of biscuits, minimalism and black clothing it seems Jessica Rose and I have a whole lot in common 😉
A while back I did a personality test and found out I was an INFJ. Have any of you taken the test? I’d love to know what you are. You can take the test here if you’re interested. I stumbled across this article and found myself nodding along with all of it. It’s so weird reading a description of yourself online!
Last Friday my youngest girl went away over night with one of her friend and her family so the biggest girl and I took the opportunity to got the cinema and catch a film that we wouldn’t be able to see if we had the six year old in tow. Thankfully we managed to catch Spiderman Homecoming before it left the big screen and oh boy, are we both glad that we did. My nine year old loves all the Marvel films and usually watches them with her dad, they aren’t all my cup of tea so I was crossing my fingers that I’d enjoy this one. I think I can safely say it’s my favourite of the whole Spiderman series of films and various incarnations. British actor, Tom Holland is perfect as the adolescent Spiderman, there are plenty of laughs and jump in your seat moment, all in all a great watch.
After a two year absence Suranne Jones is back on our screens as Dr Foster, and oh boy, what a cracker of a first episode. Her ex husband makes my blood boil and unsurprisingly Dr Foster is drawn back into battle with him as their son Tom (bizarrely) makes the move into his dad’s new house.
Aside from the big and little screen I also watched my two girls go back to school this week. This is the last year I’ll have a child in the infants (!), I’m not sure when they got so big.
I’ve been busy pinning lots of tattoo ideas to my Pinterest board as I’m already feeling the pull to get a new one! So I’m trying to make the decision of what to get next and where. I’m thinking the back of my arm just above the elbow, but we shall see.
I’m busy making lots of decisions about this blog and the content for the next three months. I’m wanting to do a few series on specific topics rather than just random posts that fit in my categories. Of course this all requires me to be not only good at making plans but also seeing them through! Watch this space I guess! It’s all a bit like this at the moment..
My poor neglected hair has had a treat and revamp this week, bye bye ginger/blonde, hello all over dark chocolate brown.
My clothing hasn’t been very inspired, don’t hate me but I must admit I’m enjoying putting away my summer clothes and digging out my boots and sweaters! Autumn is my very favourite time of year… I only wish it wasn’t quite so rainy.
Sara Tasker is back with a new Hashtag Authentic podcast and this one features Tara Mohr, as with all Sara’s podcasts is definitely worth having a listen.
Music wise I’ve been enjoying lots of different bands and artists, including Bon Iver, Laura Marling, Arcade Fire and The Staves. This Autumn playlist on Spotify is pretty chill too, it does have few tracks that I skip though, I mean Niall Horan?!
I don’t know about you but I am looking forward to a long lazy Saturday morning
If you’re on Instagram and want to join in with the Little Loves community on there, it’s so easy just use the hashtag #littleloves on any photo that shows something little that you love – so that can be pretty much anything! I’ll share my favourites on Stories each Friday.
