Half Term fun, BeNinja and Dashboard Confessional #LittleLoves

It’s been half term for us this week and oh boy, was it needed. We had originally hoped to go away for this week but in the end we’ve had a bit of a ‘staycation’ instead. Just having some slower mornings and family time together has been really lovely.

So then lets get onto those wonderful little things from this week, grab a cuppa (or a glass, depending on the time of day..!) and have a read.

How to Stop Time

I’ve not been quite as taken with this as with Eleanor Oliphant but I’m still enjoying it. I think I need to make a bit more time to sit down and really get into it. With it being half term this week there’s been no time for reading really!

We’ve finally been to see Coco, and it didn’t disappoint. The girls and I absolutely adored it and to all the people who told me to take tissues, to you I am eternally grateful!

Parks and Recreation

I had the glorious surprise of finding out that there was a series of Parks and Rec that I had no idea existed. It must have recently been added to Amazon Prime. So I had the joy of watching bits and pieces of that this week. It’s so funny, if you haven’t seen it you really are missing out.

When the hearts came to Fishergate

On Valentines Day we popped into Preston to do some shopping and the pavements were covered in hearts. No one seemed to know who did it, until this facebook reveal.

Day trips

With it being half term we had a few days out including a trip to the snowy North East to visit my dad as well as things like the cinema and the most exciting one – BeNinja.

I shared loads over on IG Stories on Wednesday which if you follow me you might have spotted! Honestly, if you’ve ever wanted to try Ninja Warrior then this is the place to come! It’s full of challenges and my kids LOVED it. The food was fantastic too. Definitely worth checking out if you live in the North West – BeNinja Bolton

I mean, who didn’t?!

When I was an older teen I was obsessed with Dashboard Confessional, I had so many of their CDs including Imported versions. The perfect soundtrack to an angsty broken heart! They’ve been on ‘hiatus’ for a few years but are back with a new album. While neither they nor I are angsty teens anymore, the music is still good.

and lastly

I’ve got two fantastic giveaways going on so be sure to click and enter!

Sometimes it’s nice to leave a half-term empty for some rest and relaxation, I think kids need that also sometimes. Those hearts in Preston were just lovely, I bet they brightened up people’s day. I’ve got that book on my list but I’m not sure about it, but I have heard good things. Hope you have a lovely weekend x

Wow that’s amazing what 10 Preston did, I actually have just been having a little look at their site, think it maybe on our list for a visit.

I saw that Tee on your insta, I love it, you have such a beautiful fashion sense, I am a petite but it doesn’t exist for Fatties.

Did the girl get unnerved by Coco at all, Addy wants to see it but I have been hearing kids having nightmares ?
