Dinosaurs, Unicorn pencils and trying to relax #LittleLoves

I feel like I haven’t stopped this week! The mister has been working long days and add to that two trips to Old Trafford(!!) so I’ve been holding the fort at home, juggling the girls, the house, the business and this blog. I’ve been trying to make myself stop working at 9pm, but it doesn’t always seem to happen!

I finally finished Three Wishes, by Liane Moriarty, it definitely wasn’t my favourite book of hers, but I’ll do a full review of it at the end of the month on Coffee Work Read. I’ve started Elizabeth is Missing and it’s got me hooked already.

The lovely Jess over on Mummy of Boy Girl Twins interviewed me about running my business and blogging, you can have a read of it here – Running my children’s accessories business by Morgana at Little and Fierce. While you’re there check out the rest of Jess’s blog it is gorgeous.

My little shop also had a feature in Little London magazine! Our unicorn rainbow pencils were chosen for their unicorn round up.

Now I’m not sure if I should really mention this TV programme as technically I didn’t love it, but I did watch the finally of Marcella and was left woefully disappointed by it. From the looks of twitter it seems I wasn’t alone in feeling frustrated by the plot holes and unanswered questions. It’s a shame because it was such a gripping series. Did you watch it? What did you think?

Something I really did enjoy, however, was introducing N to the Alice in Wonderland film. She’s not a fan of the Disney cartoon version but the live action one is right up her street. Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter are always a winning combination. I’m looking forward to taking her to see Alice Through The Looking Glass when it hits the cinema at the end of month.

For once I actually have things to share in this section! E’s homework this week was to make 3D dinosaurs, so of course I hopped straight onto Pinterest in search of something that we could make.

E was so happy with them and couldn’t wait to take them into school. I was amazed just how easy they were to make.

I actually made my own sugar free Nut-ella! The recipe is by my guru Sarah Wilson;) Now, don’t get too excited, it tastes NOTHING like Nutella, but it’s still a nice alternative.

I really need to up my game and remember to take outfit photos! Jenny and I got to hang out together last Friday at a works dinner (our husband’s work in the same firm) and this is the best photo we could manage!

I WILL try better next week, promise.

I used to be a HUGE Coldplay fan back in their early years but kind of lost interest after Viva la Vida. This video however is amazing and I enjoyed the song so maybe I should check out their new album.

and lastly

I’m very much ready for a chilled out evening tonight, I think pajamas as soon as I’m through the door from the school run will be where it’s at! Then on Saturday it will be all about the FA Cup final (groan) and a night out in Manchester which I’m looking forward to – though it could be crazy busy if Man Utd end up winning!

Here are this week’s Instagram #LittleLoves. Remember anyone can join in, just hashtag a little thing you love (anything really!) with #LittleLoves throughout the week and I choose a few to feature here and over on my Instagram.

My hat goes of to you Morgana {and everyone else that works full time and has children to look after!} its a tough job, but you manage it really well! Love the 3D dinosaurs! Very cute. The ending of Marcella was a let down wasn’t it? but I am hoping they come back with a second season, so many unanswered questions! Have a wonderful evening out tomorrow! xxx

Hiii, I’m a newbie! Well, I blogged at Moo and Woo for a little while, but setting up a new business seemed to get in the way of that! I used to love taking part in the little loves linky, so I’m back. I love your new blog 🙂

You’re so good for giving up sugar, it’s my vice, and try as I might, I just can’t give it up. Faux nutella just doesn’t cut it for me!

Congrats on the mag feature, that’s awesome!

Marcella what a bloody waste of my life!! It had the potential to be brilliant but then it wasn’t!! Grrr
Have you watched The Secret on ITV though? It’s pretty weird but quite gripping!!

Those dinosaurs are awesome! Congrats on being featured in the Little London mag. I didn’t really enjoy the real-people version of Alice in Wonderland, although the Through the Looking Glass film does look interesting x

  • Emma Shilton - May 21, 2016 reply

Loving the dinosaurs, my little boy would love to make those! Hope you have a lovely relaxing weekend x

I wasn’t wowed but the end of Marcella, but I didn’t think it was awful either. I have been quite busy whilst watching it at the same time though, so some of the plot holes may have passed me by. I totally get what you mean about trying to juggle a lot of spinning plates. Chris was abroad with work for half the week, I’m now working two jobs, running the blog, decorating and all the family stuff. It’s ridiculous how much we have to do. Trying not to think about it too much and that seems to be helping. You’re doing so well on the no sugar thing, can you keep it up even with a hangover? I think that would be my major stumbling block!! xxx

  • Stacey - May 23, 2016 reply

Love the dinosaurs. The children at the nursery i work at would love making them!

  • Mel @mydaysni - May 23, 2016 reply

Love your little dinosaurs, they are so cute! Huge congratulations on your magazine feature. I hope business is booming for you, you should be very proud of what you have achieved in a relatively short space of time!
