Welcome to this weeks Little Loves post!
Thank you to all the lovely bloggers who’ve joined in so far this year, I love reading all the posts and look forward to catching up with this week’s ones.
I mentioned last week that I picked up The Wrong Knickers by Bryony Gordon, well I’ve finished it already, I literally couldn’t put it down! It’s a great light read and is super funny, I really recommend it.
I mentioned on twitter how much I was loving the book and I may have fangirled a little when Bryony Gordon tweeted me back…!
We took the girls out for a drink last Friday night and whisked them off to the cinema to see Big Hero 6 the new Pixar film. We all absolutely loved it, one of the best kids films I’ve seen in a long time and a very welcome change from Frozen!
– The Secret Life of Four Year Olds
Knowing that a lot of my #littleloves linker uppers have small children I doubt I’ll be the only one to mention this programme. Having a four year old myself this was obviously essential viewing! It was fantastic to get a little insight into the way the children interact with one another at this age, especially without adults around. I’d love to be a fly on the wall at E’s preschool.
My eldest has been wearing a few bits from my shop recently – I swear I’m going to have to get a lock for my stock room!
Here she is wearing her Ryder L geek glasses and braces
I’ve been living in my Topshop ‘coatigan’ (thanks Em for the correct terminology 😉 ) this week. It’s just so cosy!
I’ve also been wearing my fantastic new all singing all dancing moisturiser from Green People – the full review will be up here on Sunday.
I’ve got a couple of great tracks to share with you this week, the first is Calvin Harris’ new one that features HAIM
and I couldn’t help share this cover of Taylor Swift’s Shake it Off by Charlie XCX, it definitely has some punk undertones and really reminds me of Karen O and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, I would imagine she’s a big influence of Charlie XCX. I know it’s a cover that has divided people, it’s bit like Marmite, if you know what I mean?
I found the recipe for Davina’s no sugar flapjacks and gave them a go, I can report they are super easy to make and really yummy. You can see the recipe for yourself here – Davina’s no sugar flapjacks Red Online
I’ve been thinking about giving vlogging ago and filming myself chatting about my Little Loves choices. What do you think? Is this something that you might watch? I’m so out of touch with the whole vlogging thing really!
I don’t know about you but I’m far too old for school girl politics and game playing, whether it’s online or in real life, so without further ado I’ll end with this week’s quote.
Have a lovely weekend!
