Welcome to this weeks Little Loves post!
One of my hands down favourite bloggers Sarah Bessey wrote ‘Here’s why I don’t feel guilty about being a work-at-home mum’ and I nodded along to the whole thing. It’s so refreshing to read someone owning the choices they’ve made and refusing to let other people’s judgements make you feel guilty or to question your choices.
My lovely friend Lucy at Dear Beautiful made a very exciting announcement this week, (you can read it here) and I’m so happy for her. I’m also relieved she’s announced it as I don’t thing I could have keep her secret much longer!
This weekend a couple of friends and I went to go and see the movie The Duff in the cinema. I’m well aware it’s not aimed at our age group *cough* but that didn’t bother me one bit and I am not ashamed to say that I loved it. It really reminds me of teen movies from back when I was a teen, you know She’s All That, 10 Things I Hate About You, and even Mean Girls.
The mister was away a bit so I’ve had the chance to get caught up on Mad Men! I’m really sad that it’s the last ever season, but keen to see how they’ll tie it all up.
I’ve not had a very share worthy week of clothes this week, but I have worn this little beauty.. Little and Fierce, geddit? 😉
The Staves have been a firm favourite while I’ve been working at my computer. I’m currently sat in Costa while typing this and so thankful that I remembered my headphones as there is a VERY loud lady having a business meeting!
Those harmonies. Just beautiful.
After a few weeks of eating a lot and moving very little I’m trying to get back on the healthy bandwagon. I read Katie’s very honest fitness update and felt very ashamed when I read another blogger’s comment about feeling overweight and then quoting her current weight, which incidentally is my goal weight that I am currently no where near! Oops! We’re the same height too so that was a bit of a wake up call and a kick up the bum to get moving again.
I’ve re-started logging my food and exercise on My Fitness Pal and that’s helped hugely – no more scoffing the girls Easter eggs!
Not the most low fat of meals but full of goodness.
No added oil and switching white spaghetti for spelt – every little change helps
Thanks so much for all the kind words and support last week. We’re still processing the news and the implications it has but I feel in a better place about it all now. As I said last week I really hate to be cryptic but it’s definitely not something I can openly blog about as it’s not my story to tell.
In other news I’ve been super busy working on my business this month, if you’re a regular reader of But why mummywhy why, you’ll have noticed that apart from Little Loves I’ve hardly blogged. I’m really hoping to address the balance of this so thank you for sticking with me in the meantime!
