It has felt strange not sharing my Little Loves each week, I have missed sharing and having a read of everyone’s posts but it’s also been rather freeing to have a little more space for other things. Now I just need to be careful not to make the post terribly long considering there will be a month’s worth of little things from now on! Don’t worry, I’ve kept it brief, you won’t need to block out an hour just to read through it. I don’t know how you’ve found this month, but for me it’s zoomed by! From first scorching bank holiday weekend right through to this one. We’ve seen the blossom bloom and then go, and all the while the sun has shone. It’s been a pretty darn, fantastic month.
Lets get started and onto the wonderful little things from this month, grab a cuppa (or a glass, depending on the time of day..!) and have a read.
Little Fires Everywhere
This was my book of the month for sure. I was recommended Celeste Ng’s books by a friend and this one did not disappoint
I’ve started Burial Rites but found it a little heavy going for a summer’s day so I’m dipping in and out of it.
The Years She Stole
Instead favouring Jonathan Harvey’s newest book, The Years She Stole. I’m a huge fan of his books and clicked order on Amazon as soon as I spotted it had been released.
Blog wise I’ve read lots of content around coaching and marketing, but I won’t link them here, instead I’ll focus on lighter reads that I loved.
This is such a beautiful space, and has given me ideas for our shared office that’s still a bit of a work in progress!
Emma does it again with the brilliant post full of practical and funny advice. Most of all it’s a big confidence booster!
Fritha shares about her weekend away, and I feel relaxed just scrolling through the gorgeous photos.
Let’s not forget the gorgeous May edition of Elle Interiors!
The mister and I really enjoyed this series on Netflix, with Michael C Hall (of Dexter) doing a rather wonderful English accent, not something that many American actors can do! It centres around widower Tom and his family living in a gated community. His daughter goes missing and her boyfriend is found dead, we watch events unfurl as we discover the secrets within the community. Great drama!
I do love this Netflix comedy series, it’s been such light relief and I binged the new season far too fast! David will always be my favourite.
Avengers: Age of Ultron
We risked doing a family trip to see the new Avengers film, I was worried that it might be a little too much for my seven year old, but she loved it. The ending however left us all open mouthed! I won’t say any more, don’t want to give up any spoilers.
The Royal Wedding
I cannot write up this section for May without including the beautiful Royal Wedding! My girls and I were glued to the television, from the guests arriving to the happy couple leaving the church, LOVED it ALL!
I might not have crafted anything, or baked anything worth sharing here, but I worked hard and hosted the second Coffee Work Sleep Creatives event this week, where we discussed Imposter Syndrome. Expect a full blog post on it very soon.

I’ve also been making use of the project management platform Trello. Anyone else use it? With this blog, the creatives group, my coaching, consultancy, podcast and home life getting harder to juggle and keep track of this website is saving my bacon for sure!
I promised myself that if Little Loves changed over to monthly then I would definitely do better with getting outfit shots ready to share…. yeah, that didn’t happen! I have one. Hopefully, I’ll improve on this each month!
The belt is a weaved vintage leather one, which is why it’s not linked. The earrings are not exactly the ones linked, but they are similar.
SO much music!! I’m definitely listened to more music than podcasts this month, here’s a few highlights.
I’ve actually found their newest album to be a grower, I wasn’t sure at first, it’s definitely a move away from their previous stuff. I like Alex’s side project The Last Shadow Puppets with Miles Kane, and you can hear the influences of it in this album. It’s not going to be a crowd pleaser of an album and has had very mixed reviews, especially considering they released their tour tickets before releasing it.
Another new album, this time from James Bay. I’ve been listening to this one a lot with my girls and we all love it.
Just a couple we’ve been enjoying, making sure you check out my Instagram Stories Playlist highlight for more recommendations.
In the spirit of my CWS Creatives group, this quote is really inspiring me at the moment,
It sums up a lot of what we are about, community over competition – always!
I regularly share the things I’m reading, or listening to over on my Instagram Stories, I even group them into highlights so if you can’t wait a whole month then pop on over for a little snoop 😉
The next link up will be on Friday 29th June
Have a fantastic weekend!
