How is it Friday? I mean seriously. Who pressed that fast forward button? I cannot cope with how quickly the last few weeks have zoomed by. I know I have said this kind of thing a lot recently but I can’t help it, it’s how I feel right now! Anyone else? I can’t be alone in this surely. My eldest is 10 in two weeks and I haven’t even started buying her birthday presents… anyway I digress. Let’s get started on my Little Loves, so, are you ready for some positivity? Grab a cuppa and enjoy, don’t forget you can read lots of other bloggers’ Little Loves by clicking on the linky at the end.
I’ve not had much time to read these week I’ve managed a few pages of Tin Man and The Keeper of Lost Things, but that’s about all. I’ve not even read many blog posts this week. I swear I don’t know where the time has gone. I’ve got a huge pile of books to read yet I still find myself eyeing up new ones. It takes all my willpower to stay out of bookshops and not go on my Amazon app.
I am crazy late to the party but I’ve discovered Outlander on Amazon. I’ve managed to binge my way through the first season, which is probably why I haven’t read much this week as any down time I’ve had I’ve been opening up Outlander and watching it while ironing or cooking tea. I’ve had to be careful having it on my ipad with the girls around though, some of the scene are, well, rather graphic! I’ve had to have quick reflexes to press the skip button that’s for sure!
The mister and I have also caught up with The Good Place that I mentioned last week and now have to wait for the weekly episode to upload each Friday, boo.
As a family we had a movie afternoon over the weekend and watched Wonder Woman. We missed it at the cinema and have been desperate to watch it so as soon as it popped up we bought it! What a fantastic film, the mister, myself and my eldest were glued, whereas my youngest did puzzles instead.
Move along… nothing to see here. I did make cupcakes for E and her friend on Monday after school but sadly there is no photographic evidence to document it!
Nothing of note this week, oh gosh this is turning into a massive fail, isn’t it?
I’ve just had two exciting clothes deliveries though and I can’t wait to share the outfits with you. Fingers crossed I’ll have lots to share in this bit next week.
Did you see my post earlier in the week, the one about my favourite coffee shop? There’s an outfit shot or two in that one 😉
Podcasts wise Hashtag Authentic was particularly good this week as it had the Brand Stylist Fiona Humberstone on and I love her and her book so for me it was so good to hear her chat about branding and colour psychology. I’m working on updating this blog with a new theme so it was good to be reminded of what my colour theme is and how to apply it. I’ve got one of Fiona’s books How To Style Your Brand and often finf my self turning back to it for inspiration. Of course I have my eye on her latest book, but I’m resisting!
Spotify put together a personal ‘Time Capsule playlist and apart from the random Disney songs (!!) it’s so good! Lots of Radiohead, The Cardigans, The Strokes. This song in particular had me reminiscing.
Another great one..
If I could share a link to the whole playlist I would, but it’s personalised to my account so it wouldn’t work and you’d probably find the mix of songs rather bizarre anyway!
I’m a bit of a quote-aholic. You only have to follow me on Pinterest to see just how many quotes I pin, honestly I think it’s some kind of disorder or addiction! Last year I used to share my favourite of the week in this section and somewhere along the line I got out of the habit, so anyway, here I am bringing it back with this one.
If you’re on Instagram and want to join in with the Little Loves community on there, it’s so easy just use the hashtag #littleloves on any photo that shows something little that you love – so that can be pretty much anything! I’ll share my favourites on Stories each Friday.

Be sure to use the hashtag #littleloves if you’re on twitter so we can all keep an eye out for the posts and promote each others.
