Stranger Things, pregnancy announcements and.. um.. Harry Styles #Littleloves

Nope. I’m not pregnant and I can safely say those that are have nothing to do with Harry Styles. Rather, these are just a few of my favourite things about this week. I’m trying something a little different this week and doing two separate posts, this one jam packed with my Little Loves and one with the linky for bloggers to link up their posts, you can see that one here

We had a busy weekend, though when are they not these days(!), with a birthday sleepover for the ten year old, six girls altogether, including a friend for my youngest girl. Amazingly it went so well and wasn’t stressful at all! Hands down one of the easiest sleepovers we’ve hosted. Phew!

We then launched straight into school and work on Monday morning and I can’t say we were entirely up for it. Early starts and routine has been a shock to the system. Not to mention wake up alarms!

There’s been some lovely little things this week in amongst the tiredness and busy times, grab a cuppa and have a read.

  read

I mentioned last week that I wanted to re-read Sarah Winman’s When God Was A Rabbit, well I’m a few chapters in and loving it. I honestly hardly remember the story so it’s like reading it afresh. Sarah Winman is fast becoming one of my favourite authors for sure.

watched

We’ve finished Stranger Things, *sob*

Stranger Things

It was spectacular! Honestly, it did not disappoint in any way. If you’ve seen season 1 and loved it but haven’t got around to season 2 yet then get on it!

Pregnancy announcements! Two of my gorgeous blogging friends announced their pregnancies at the end of last week, Lucy at Dear Beautiful and Jenny at Lets Talk Mommy click on their names to watch their cute announcement videos.

Television wise, I stumbled across Harry Styles at the BBC. Now I’m no One Direction or even Harry Styles fan but I ended up watching it while working on my laptop and was won over. He’s definitely trying to make his way as a musician and artist far from his 1D roots  – thankfully! This bit in particular was rather funny.

MAde

It’s been all about the autumnal comfort food this week, hasselback potatos, soup, roast dinner, crumble, and some Harry Potter dairy free birthday cake. Alas I’ve no photos to share, most ended up on IG Stories but as they disappear after 24 hours I no longer have them. You’ll have to take my word for it.

Story of my life!

Not complaining though, I’ve decided to embrace my love of black, white and grey. After all I do throw in a little yellow or even red every now and again. Talking of yellow, I’ve had my eye on this yellow coat from New Look ever since it hit the shops and now it has 25% off I might just have to give in it and get it!

heard

Since watching the Harry Styles programme I’ve had a listen of his new album, and I’ve really enjoyed it, especially Meet Me in The Hallway and Sweet Creature.

and lastly

I’ve got a fantastic giveaway, my eldest tried out Green People’s new range of organic skincare for pre-teens and teens and LOVED it. We’ve got two full sets to giveaway!

a Rafflecopter giveaway

Have a fantastic weekend!

Stranger things was so good wasn’t it. I thought the beginning of season 2 got off to a slow start but I loved the ending. I really want to experiment with some brighter colours this year, I love wearing black but want to mix it up a bit. Have a great weekend x

Stranger things needs to go on my list of things I should watch. I’m impressed that you hosted a sleepover for so many and got to sleep. Looks like I’m not the only one whose winter wardrobe is dark, the yellow coat looks gorgeous.

I really tried with Stranger Things but couldn’t get into it. I was told to try again so I might. Love that coat! I have not stepped into the sleepover territory yet! I love my sleep far too much for it to be interrupted with giggly girls! Haha! Have a wonderful weekend xxx

Sounds like a great week Morgana, glad your sleepover went well and that coat is really nice. I need to get into Stranger Things, heard so many people talking about it but we have been immersed in Mad Men now for several months! I love the Harry Styles album but then I wasn’t adverse to a bit of 1D either 😉 Hope you have a lovely weekend and look forward to hearing about your Little Loves next week 🙂 x

Oh thank you ever so much for sharing our announcement. So exciting. Lots of baby cuddles await for you! lol 🙂 Sounds like a great week babes and busy too girl. Will have to borrow your book! I have so many if you want to borrow any here too! Book swap! I will have to check out this Harry Styles hahaha if it’s not country I am slightly clueless. Live under a rock. Your postcard black suitcase clothes made me laugh out loud. I think I own three black items in my entire wardrobe. I am the opposite. Find something black and nice to wear me biting nails go buy something new. 🙂 Love the new linky set up too. xoxo

Stranger Things is one I’ve not watched. Mind you its even passed the teen by, and she’s usually into anything new like that. Perhaps I can get her to watch it with me. I love that yellow coat, you definitely need to buy it, will look gorgeous on you. Have a great weekend x

We never saw stranger things! You know I’m a fan of the coat, do it – make the purchase. Hope you have a great weekend x

Stranger Things was brilliant wasn’t it. I really wanted a coat similar to that but it just didn’t suit me. Maybe I should have got it in petite! It was so lovely seeing both of their announcements.

I am sooo behind on Netflix! We really need to watch Stranger Things but there just aren’t enough hours in the day 🙁 We tend to watching family-friendly TV early evening then do our own thing when the kid’s in bed – so romantic! We share an office though, so that counts ;p

  12. November 10, 2017 / 11:03 pm

I actually stumbled across Harry Styles on the abc too and really enjoyed it. x

  13. November 10, 2017 / 11:29 pm

I too tend to live in black clothing and why the hell not? It’s slimming and matches everything 🙂

  14. November 11, 2017 / 12:22 am

I love the coat- I think it’s a definite purchase. I must admit, Stranger Things has passed me by, but I’m seeing so much about it I think it might be the next for a binge watching session. I hope you have a great weekend x

  15. November 11, 2017 / 10:36 pm

I’ve been loving the pregnancy announcements this week – so cute. I’ve also been listening to Harry Styles, I asked my daughter if she wanted the album for Christmas (hoping I could steal it) but she declined.

Going to have to give Stranger things a go when we finish Suits. Love the yellow coat, such a great way to add some colour to your wardrobe.

  17. November 15, 2017 / 9:25 pm

I love Yellow so much its such a happy colour and that Harry Styles programme was fab he comes across so down to earth. I read When God was a Rabbit a couple of years ago and loved it. And these pregnancies are such lovely news x

  18. November 16, 2017 / 2:21 pm

I love it when you re-read an old favourite and it feels like new again. Pre-pregnancy most of my wardrobe was black or grey and I think it probably will be again post-pregnancy haha x #LittleLoves

Aagh! Sorry I’m so delayed in leaving a comment this week!

I was so impressed by Harry Styles at the BBC – and I’m really not a fan of his at all normally! We started watching Stranger Things 2 last night and I’m hoping it will be as fab as the first series. xxx
